D1 Little Rock to Host Tryouts for Arkansas Twisters

The Arkansas Twisters and Head Coach, Danton Bartow would like to announce that the first open tryout for the 2010 team will take place on Saturday, December 12. The tryout will take place at D1 Sports Training Center in Little Rock. Registration and warm-up will take place from 9:30-10:30am with the tryout running from 10:30am-1:30pm. D1 Involved in Camp Featuring AJ Burnett, Cliff Lee and Others

D1 Little Rock is set to host the dynamic warm-up for the baseball training camp to benefit Miracle League, on Saturday, December 5. The camp will feature MLB players A. J. Burnett, Cliff Lee and Dustin Moseley. Click here for ticket information.

D1's Carolina Sliders Win Tournament

Congratulations to D1’s Carolina Sliders who took first place at the USSSA Winter State Tournament. They posted a perfect 4-0 record and finished the season ranked #4 in the state for USSSA Points. Way to go Jay, Michael, Will, Cameron, Shimon, Adam and Julio!

Watch D1's David, Tara, Amy and Phil on THE BIGGEST LOSER: WHERE ARE THEY NOW? special edition tonight on NBC! David competed in Season Four of the Biggest Loser and then trained at D1 Nashville in preparation for the show finale. Phil and Amy were on Season Six, which was the family edition, and trained at D1 Greenville to prepare for the finale. Tara was on Season Seven and also trained at D1 Greenville for the finale. We'll be watching tonight!

D1 Knoxville Hosts Tournament of Wishes

D1 Knoxville was proud to be a sponsor of this year’s Tournament of Wishes for the 2nd year in a row. Proceeds from the Tournament of Wishes, which was held on Saturday, November 14, went to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of East Tennessee. 10% of the proceeds also went to benefit the West Hills Tennis Center Rescue of Knoxville. Make-A-Wish’s mission is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
